Days 2 - 4: Tel Aviv, Israel

WEDNESDAY DAY 2
Welcome to Israel! Upon arrival to Ben Gurion airport, you will be met and assisted before passport control, by our VIP service representative. Following passport control, you will be transferred to your hotel in beautiful Tel Aviv, situated on the Mediterranean Coast. Enjoy fresh juice and the remainder of the day at leisure.

THURSDAY DAY 3
BREAKFAST: Depart 9:00am today. Begin our tour with a drive by the cultural center of Tel-Aviv, viewing the Bronfman Auditorium and Habimah Theater. Then we will tour the Ayalon Institute, a secret factory camouflaged on a kibbutz producing millions of bullets for the Hagana. This was done right under the noses of the British authorities. Continue to Old Jaffa, where we walk along the ancient streets, viewing archaeological excavations and charming galleries.

Days 4 - 6: Haifa, Israel

FRIDAY DAY 4
BREAKFAST. Our first stop today is a visit to Independence Hall where on May 14, 1948, Israel became an independent state. Proceed north via Netanya to Caeserea. We visit the Crusaders’ Battlement, the Roman Theater – where concerts and cultural events take place all summer long, plus the ancient Aqueduct still standing for 2000 years. Next, an emotional visit to Atlit – a former detention compound for Jewish immigrants who arrived in Israel illegally during the British Mandate period. Arrive at our luxurious hotel atop Mt. Carmel where we are greeted with refreshing fruit juice.

SATURDAY DAY 5
BREAKFAST. Sabbath at leisure. Enjoy a delightful stroll in the beautiful city of Haifa or visit a local Synagogue. Available – Optional tour to the incredible Tel Megiddo – the excavations that inspired James Michener’s book “The Source”. Next, drive to a Druze Village where we learn about their culture and customs in their environment. Browse and shop in their bustling bazaar – a fun way to end an exciting tour before returning to our hotel around 3:00 PM.

Days 6 - 8 - Northern Israel

SUNDAY DAY 6
BREAKFAST. First stop, the Bahai Gardens then on to the ancient port city of Akko to visit the prison where members of the Hagana and Irgun were held captive during Israel’s fight for independence. Here Leon Uris’s famous novel “Exodus” was filmed. Continue to the beautiful new Jewish development town Karmiel in the Galilee. Proceed to Safed, famous art colony and center of mystic Kabbalism. See its Synagogues and picturesque cobblestone streets and art galleries before arriving at our Kibbutz, located in the lush hills of the Upper Galilee.
PM: DINNER. After dinner, engage with Kibbutz members and learn about the Kibbutz lifestyle.
MONDAY DAY 7
BREAKFAST. Our tour begins in one of the lushest areas in the Galilee, Tel Dan, where we will take an easy enjoyable nature walk through the reserve at the headwaters of the Jordan River. Continue to the Golan Heights to Ben Tal, a wonderful view point into Syria. Then to Kibbutz Ein Zivan, in the heart of Israel’s wine country for an intimate personal visit to the Bahat Winery and the De Korina Chocolate Factory. Sample the delicious chocolates and enjoy wine tasting.

Days 8 - 13 - Jerusalem and Dead Sea

TUESDAY DAY 8
BREAKFAST. Depart for Safed, famous art colony and center of mystic Kabbalah. Enjoy some free time to explore the galleries along the picturesque cobblestone streets. Continue to Old Gesher, located on the Jordan River and the border with Jordan, a site encompassing archaeology, ancient history, current history, the kibbutz concept, and current events. Then to another wonderful site down the valley to Sde Eliyahu, a religious kibbutz that is at the forefront of eco-friendly farming and agro industry. Continue to Jerusalem stopping on route to say the traditional “shehechiyanu” blessing.

WEDNESDAY DAY 9
Breakfast begin the tour of the Old City of Jerusalem; visit the Jewish and Christian quarters; walk through the Cardo, the reconstructed main street of Byzantine Jerusalem. Visit the Wailing Wall. Continue to the City of David and explore the excavations of the first temple period; learn the story of ancient Jerusalem as you tour the Western Wall tunnels; discover the hidden layers of the walls revealed underground. Return to your hotel to freshen up and get ready for your night out.
PM: DINNER ON YOUR OWN – followed by the Spectacular night show at Tower of David Museum.
THURSDAY DAY 10
BREAKFAST we will begin the day with a visit to the Israel museum, the shrine of the book where the Dead Sea scrolls are housed. Furthermore we will see the new holy land model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the second temple period. Continue for a tour at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament and see the Menorah with the biblical emblems. Proceed to experience the contemporary Jerusalem at the famous Mahane Yehuda market with its authentic and colorful stands; Enjoy the “Shuk bites” and taste a variety of local food. Return back to hotel for the remainder of the day at leisure.

FRIDAY DAY 11
EARLY BREAKFAST. Proceed through the ancient Judean desert; stop at the majestic Ein Gedi nature reserve and explore the lush oasis filled with waterfalls, vegetation and rare wildlife. Continue to Massada and ascend by cable car to the top of the ancient fortress; visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, bathhouses and more. We will descend by cable car back to the bottom of the mountain. Next, we will stop for lunch by the Dead Sea and make use of the spa facilities in one of the leading hotels in the area. Return back to Jerusalem to freshen up.

SATURDAY DAY 12
BREAKFAST. Today we will get to experience Jerusalem on Shabbat. Feel the ambiance and mellow mood of the city during the day of rest. In the evening, just a few steps from our hotel, explore Jerusalem as it brings in the new week.

BREAKFAST. Enjoy the renewed Israel Museum now the largest cultural institution not only home to the Dead Sea Scrolls but houses collections of leading art and archaeology dating from prehistory to present day. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax, and shop for last minute gifts and souvenirs before heading to the airport for your evening flight home.
